Smile back on my face.....
Finally got round to the football coaching. Went with Tom and Dan (the cousins) to Zambiza for 2.30 for a pre-meet with the trainers. Zambiza is a small village to the north of Quito. We passed some very poor areas on the bus. Wouldn't look out of place in Sao Paolo. The football facility on the other hand would embarrass the groundstaff at Manchester University for sure. We watched an amazing electrical storm in Quito heading our way. Will hopefully have the photos for you shortly.
We waited an hour and a half but the trainers didn't show. They call this "La hora latina", I call it apathy. But still at least when I go back tomorrow I know where the ground is.
It's Tuesday night and that can mean only one thing....quiz night. We had a better team this week without Tim and managed to come third. Finn McCools is a good pub, but in small doses.
